Local Grants & Support

Alfred Shaw Trust Fund

Supports education initiatives that will help to raise the aspirations of children and young people living in Runcorn with particular interest in music and the arts.

BHP Billiton Endowment Fund

Projects based around enhancing or conserving the local physical environment that also benefit the wider community and improve people’s lives.

Community Foundation

An independent charity that promotes local giving to address local disadvantage.

The Dulverton Trust Fund

Applications should address at least one of the Dulverton Trust’s priorities of youth opportunities, general welfare, conservation and preservation.

Edina Trust

Schools can use their grants for science resources, gardening equipment, science weeks, science subscriptions, science visits (in or out of school) and improving school grounds for science.

Johnson Foundation

The Foundation supports UK registered charities working specifically within the Liverpool City Region in the areas of Welfare, Youth, Community, Arts, Education and Health.

Joseph Harley Bequest Fund

The Joseph Harley Bequest Fund supports young people to undertake projects or activities, where assistance from public bodies is not usually available. Applications for funding assistance will be considered for advancement of education and training of individuals, under the age of 25 who are residents of Formby.

Liverpool learning Partnership

Passionate about school libraries and reading areas and are happy to support our member schools in developing their library provision.

The Mersey Forest

Can help schools to improve their school grounds with new woodlands, orchards and growing areas. 

Merseyside Sport

Resources to help both teachers still delivering in school and parents who are home-schooling to keep children moving.

Schools Music Service

The S.M.S. provides quality music education and support in schools and in the community.

SHINE Trust - School Grants

SHINE offers support to projects that can make a real difference to the attainment of children from disadvantaged backgrounds in the north of England.

Steve Morgan Foundation

Supports projects that help children and families, people with physical or learning disabilities, the elderly, or those that are socially disadvantaged in North Wales, Merseyside and Cheshire.

Theatre in Education

 Workshops are free and work differently for each Key Stage, please see below what we offer for: EYFS, KS1, KS2.

Shop at WHSmith between 1 June and 30 September 2021 and your school will receive 10% of all eligible purchases* in the form of digital vouchers. To take part, sign up by 30 July 2021. (*Books and stationery items.)

The National Lottery Community Fund distributes over £600m a year to communities across the UK.
