Diversity statement

Diversity statement

We are committed to diversity and inclusion. We do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of another based on their gender, race, sexuality, ability, ethnicity, religion, culture or background. As such, we strive to make our resources accessible, inclusive and representative of the diverse voices in the PTA community.

We believe that diversity and inclusion are essential. Through working together, not only can we further understand one another but also provide better, more appropriate and useful services.

Our resources place great value on the importance of lived experience. Those who have direct life experience are best placed to shine a light on the challenges they face. At the same time, we understand that the responsibility for solutions does not rest solely upon their shoulders. Everyone is personally accountable for their own education on diversity and inclusion and for raising their voices to advocate for solutions and improvements.

How do we do this?

  • We actively commission and write content to help PTAs improve their approach to diversity and inclusion.
  • We provide free diversity and inclusion resources on our website for PTAs to download and use.
  • We consciously speak with people of different backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and religions for our articles.
  • We welcome feedback, constructive criticism and suggestions from our contributors and readers as we constantly strive to improve our approach.

At PTA+ we value feedback and suggestions from all our readers and contributors. If you would like to get in touch about our approach to diversity and inclusion, please email info@pta.co.uk
